 How To Unlock The Handcannon In Resident Evil 4: Remake - A Guide For Casuals

 

It's Easier Than You Think!

Thanks to The Mercenaries being released it's now extremely easy to unlock the Handcannon in Resident Evil 4 Remake. Where as prior you had to unlock the Handcannon through playing on a New Game, Professional without any bonus weapons being used. You now only need to get a S ranking on all three maps in The Mercenaries. This is incredibly easy to do and only takes around 30 minutes to complete using even just Leon on all three maps. However there is a very easy method to getting a S rank guaranteed. 

All You Need Is Hunk!

 By getting a A rank on each character, you unlock the next character. So all you need to do is get a A rank on Leon, Luis and Krauser, on any map of your choosing. This is easiest to do on the Village map. The best strategy to getting A rank's (and even S++) is to go around the entire map breaking the green time bonus orbs, mayhem orbs, and looting as many grenades and flashbangs as you can. Only shooting enemies to get out of your way but hopefully not killing them. Once you have around 3 minutes bonus time you can start killing enemies in the center of the map until the first "Utters / Pig-Man" spawns in. Just run to the back of the map by the original entrance to the village found in the main game. All the enemies will funnel in, just be careful they can spawn at the door itself and at the side railing. Just throw a single hand grenade at Utters, and then follow that up with a volley of fire from your best firepower weapon, using your mayhem ability if you have obtained it at max stacks.

So You Unlocked Hunk?

Now that you have unlocked Hunk you'll notice very quickly that he is insanely overpowered. He can mow down entire hordes of threats, has a near unlimited supply of ammo and has the best mayhem mode ability in the entire gamemode. Upon activation you get unlimited ammo and bonus damage until your timer on your mayhem mode runs out. This one ability has been able to get me to S++ on all maps as Hunk. Not to mention since you have the best weapon for The Mercenaries, you also don't have hardly any other starting gear as Hunk other than a few hand-grenades, ammo,knives and medical items. Meaning you have a lot of free space to scavenge for handgrenades and flashbangs. 

Once you've achieved a S rank on each map you will get a notification telling you that you unlocked the Handcannon in the bonus shop. The Handcannon will cost you 1,000 CP. Once you purchase the Handcannon just visit any typewriter and you will see it in your storage. 

Disclaimer: This will not count towards the challenge to actually get the Handcannon on a new game professional without any bonus weapons. Just unlock the weapon itself.

Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Review! (PS5, No Major Spoilers)

  The Middleman's Opinion Presents: Star Wars: Jedi Survivor Review! (PS5, No Major Spoilers) Performance: Considering the game has had most of its criticism focused on the performance, I decided to discuss this first. It's no shock at this point that a lot of AAA games are releasing in broken PC ports and it's very sad to see. The PC performance leaves a lot to be desired and needs a lot of work. On PS5 however the performance is fairly inconsistent but at the least playable. Most of the time you will be at around 45-50fps, mainly in the open planetary areas such as free roam on your second planet, or in scenes where there's a lot of effects happening at once such as the tutorial levels. EA & Respawn have came out and stated there will be many patches in the coming weeks to fix these issues so it's all we have to go on. I'm returning soon! - 3/26/2024

 It's been awhile.. I've been gone for quite awhile. I've been focusing hard on my mental health (and also a bit lazy) so I'm planning on making my return soon. I have a few games I want to do reviews on that I've played recently and do some written guides for as well. I've been playing A LOT of Helldivers 2 recently along with Bloodborne. So expect some guides for those. I've also been playing a lot of the newer releases from this year and will have reviews out for them soon. I'm also playing through a bunch of older games and plan on doing reviews for those as well. Such as the Batman Arkham Trilogy.  I want to talk on some politics in the gaming industry too at some point. Such as Sweet Baby Inc at some point in the near future.
