The Middleman's Opinion Presents: Resident Evil 4 Remake: A Genre Defining Remake What Actually Makes A Remake A Remake? I find myself asking this question when I'm buying a remake for a game I've greatly enjoyed for years. What actually is a remake? Is it the idea of essentially making the same exact game but from scratch with new textures,models,etc? or is it actually rebuilding the world? Resident Evil 4 Remake is a game I held high expectations for after seeing how not so great Resident Evil 3's remake was handled. Especially considering that Resident Evil 2 Remake was a damn near masterpiece that truly modernized it's predecessor for a newer more action focused audience whilst keeping the survival horror elements. Personally I believe a remake should have two major things that makes it a remake.  The Middleman's Opinion Presents  Mental Health Update 2 - Extension of My Break It comes with a heavy heart that I will be extending my mental health break, going through a breakup and heartbreak is always rough and this one is especially devastating.  The Middleman's Opinion  Presents: Going On A Mental Health Break   I never expected to be writing this. However after going through some personal issues that caused me a lot of pain. I have decided it's time for me to push forward once again and brave this deep dark depressive storm instead of wallowing away praying everything gets better.  The Middleman's Opinion One Week Later: Steam Deck First Impressions Ever since its first conception I wanted to get a Steam Deck but after seeing its price tags and seeing that it was sold out on the first day pre-orders were available I decided to hold off on buying one. So I gave it a good year to be in production and at the end of December I figured it was now or never as the cheapest model had once again become available for purchase. As always before making the purchase I did a bunch of research on the Steam Deck to make sure I was getting what I needed out of it. I think a good way to look at it, it's a handheld gaming laptop as much as it's a handheld console. As you have all come to learn, this is the second biggest deal of the year for all steam users. The winter sale's and summer sale's release all the biggest and greatest deals of the year!  The Middleman's Opinion The Witcher 3 Next Gen Update Is Out And Has It's Issues The Witcher 3 next gen update has finally been released for a few days now and so far the reception seems to have been mixed. Quite a substantial amount of players have been reporting major issues with the performance of the game. It's appears to be mostly reported on the PC port where players with various computer specifications are reporting poor framerates, frametimes and stuttering/hitches within their gameplay. One player even stated:  " I know it's free and all. But CPU Usage - 60 Percent GPU Usage - 70 Percent FPS - 39? Please fix this nonsense. Enough with the excuses.
